Scallops is part of the Structured Pieces I performed between 1973-1976.
Five dancers stand in a line facing the center of a geometric shape. One dancer turns the line of dancers so their backs face the center, each dancer flanking into a new position to keep up with the line. The path of the dancers is curved, drawing an imaginary scallop on the floor. The dancers repeat the scallop pattern until they reach the end of the shape.
