REPERTORY/ Improvisations on a Chicken Coop Roof

“The improvisation was based on a set of “dance instruction poems” by Jackson Mac Low.  Each card had 1 to 10 words typed in black small print at the top and 1 to 5 actions types in red CAPITAL LETTERS at the bottom.  There were about 60 cards in all.  The cards were enigmatic and just the right balance in leeway and specifics to set off improvisational fireworks.” -Trisha Brown, Trisha Brown: Dance and Art in Dialogue, 1961-2001, Teicher, Hendel
