How do I join the Company?
The Trisha Brown Dance Company is seeking male and female dancers to commit to domestic and international touring of site-specific and proscenium work. These paid apprentice positions will begin rehearsing in May 2017 for performances in the 2017-2018 season. There is the opportunity to join Company rehearsals prior to May, depending on mutual availability. Please complete this audition application form
. The deadline to submit this application is Monday, September 5, 2016 at 9:00pm EST. Those selected to audition will be notified by Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
Those selected to audition must be available for all three audition days. There will also be two callback days.
October 5 - 12:00pm-6:00pm, Gibney Dance Center Studio C, 280 Broadway, NYC
October 6 & 7 - 12:30pm-6:30pm, Martha Graham Dance Studio 1, Westbeth, 55 Bethune Street, NYC
October 10 & 11 - 10:00am-6:00pm, location TBA
To familiarize yourself with Trisha Brown's work, TBDC is offering two workshops prior to the audition. Please consider joining TBDC alumni at Gibney Dance Center, 280 Broadway, on:
Sunday, September 4 - 12:00pm-4:00pm. GDC Studio B, with Keith Thompson
Sunday, September 18 - 10:00am-2:00pm, GDC Studio D, with Mariah Maloney

Trisha Brown announced in January of 2013 that she would be stepping down as Artistic Director of the Company. After choreographing her last two works for the Company, Ms. Brown named longtime company members Diane Madden and Carolyn Lucas as Associate Artistic Directors. While Ms. Brown holds a strong, enduring legacy tied to New York, she is no longer based in Manhattan. Ms Madden and Ms. Lucas take on valuable roles as the primary artistic leaders of Trisha Brown Dance Company and may be approached with all requests and invitations at this time.
